Real-Haptics Technology leads Society 5.0 to have humanlike adaptability and gentleness
Society 5.0 aims to achieve a human-friendly “super-smart” society.
Using Real-Haptics Technology (RHT), one can achieve quantitative visualization of the sense of touch and effectively perform tele-working while retaining smart adaptability and the characteristic of gentleness of human behavior in areas that are replete with tactile operations, such as, medical and health-care, disaster sites and farm operations.
Furthermore, the characteristics of RHT can be extended to support tele-working in the automated and virtual working space arenas.
We believe RHT should be one of the key technologies for Society 5.0.

AI
EU approach to Artificial Intelligence and Robotics
The European Commission brought forward in 2018 a European approach to Artificial Intelligence and robotics.
The Conference outlines some of the key points of the EU strategy for Artificial Intelligence (AI) such as technological, ethical and legal aspects to boost EU's research and industrial capacity and to put AI at the service of citizens and economy.
The Conference features high level speakers from the European Commission, industry and research community. It will present successful European AI projects, by bringing together some of the most innovative tech doers (e.g Valeo, Augumenta) and have them introduce their excellence in AI research. It will continue by profiling the key regulatory frameworks in Europe for safety and liability.
The Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs of the European Commission warmly invites the businesses, researchers, academia and other interested stakeholders, to join us on Wednesday afternoon (17 October) from 13:30 to 16:30 at the EU-MS Pavilion, Room 201 and experience a depth and breadth into the EU thinking for the advancement in AI technology.

Cloud utilization of Facility management and standard time management utilizing batteryless beacon.
Battery-less beacon is a device that transmits radio waves using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) without battery or external power supply. This solves the beacon's power problem and can drastically reduce management tasks. However, since BLE ucode is used for battery-less beacons instead of iBeacon which is commonly used, it is necessary to devise devises for development. We will examine what kind of restrictions are imposed by the difference of specification of each beacon and what kind of usage or situation it is desirable to use it.

For the realization of ultra high heat resistant platinum thermal sensor.
Demand for the temperature measurement around 1000℃ is increasing as the emissions regulations keep getting more strict in recent years. However, the conventional platinum thermal sensors could not meet the demands for high temperature range measurement because the degradation of platinum under high temperature environment which was the core part of sensing could not be prevented. KOA has succeeded in drastically improving the heat resistance by the originally developed unique ceramic coating. In this lecture, I would like to review the basics, applications and market trend regarding the platinum thermal sensors and introduce the platinum thermal sensor element that realized the high temperature resistance.

AI technology development needed for sustainable AI business expansion
Is it possible to get sustainable AI business expansion as it is? When we are trying to apply AI technologies, we face many problems, such as “Deep learning is black box and hard to understand for humans”, because it depends on learning data. AIST think “AI Engineering”, “Cooperative AI” and “Dependable AI” are the most important research directions to solve the problems. Is this session, we discuss the problems and technologies to solve them by inviting leading edge speakers/panelists.

The world changes with sence of haptic robot. Fishing experience in remote pralce realized by "AVATAR Fishing"
Real Haptics is a technology of transmitting to remote location, storing and reproducing flexible human movements. Since the beginning of human history, we have touched and manipulated only the objects that simultaneously exist in the space directly in front of us. By using this technology, however, we are able to eliminate these spatial and temporal restrictions. In this way, the world we can reuse our activities in another space, even in the future is just around the corner. With this technology, our team aims to realize the "Real Avatar," which transfers not only audiovisual but also tactile force sensations, which solves human problems such as poverty, labor shortages, and disaster relieves.

Case studies on AI application research towards Inclusive Societies.
We are facing an aging society with a declining birthrate. Improvement of smart society ecosystem by building AI and IoT technology is an urgent task for Japan. Due to the aging problem, some of us lose our freedom of movement and deterioration of audiovisual function such as difficulty in speech and communication by congenital or acquired reasons. By introducing technical supports, we have the possibilities to accept them as a part of various human parameters.
Then, we aim at building a society that makes use of it in creativity, aiming at integration and social implementation of the above capabilities by AI. I will talk about examples and future prospects of the future research and various media studies.

①UV LED product lineup introduction
Stanley Electric is introducing deep UV LED and near UV LED products lineups. For deep UV LED, the world's highest output power of 50mW is achieved with an emission wavelength of 265nm, which has the highest sterlizing capacity. And in order to meet the requirement of various applications, we developed a series of emission wavelength: 365nm, 385nm, 395nm, and 405nm.
②LED flood light
A combination of high power LED and adbanced optical design, we are introducing floodlight series with installing ultra narrow angle lens, effecient light distribution, light weight slim body and realizeing energy saving.

Just enough IoT Wireless Functional tester & How to measure dynamic current from 1uA on sleep mode to 100mA on activemode.
IoT device use wireless module and battery, normaly. Designer need to test wireless function and power consumption of the device. As you know, Signal Analyzer and Signal Generator will be used for testing wireless communication, but these are too expensive and too much capavility for IoT device testing. So Keysight offer new concept soolution "IoT wireless functional tester" as just enough test solution. And also engineer need to measure accurate power consumption for their decvice. Most of time, wireless module on IoT device on sleep mode to save power cunsumption, current level is 1uA. Sometimes wireless module switch to active mode to send data to accesspoint and cloud, current level is 100mA. How can you measure active current from 1uA to 100mA? Scope and DMM are not enough.
