Japanese industrial structure has been built by well-developed infrastructure and rules based on each category of existing industry and private companies being optimized by the category. Now it is facing to the necessity of transforming its structure corresponding to the digital era to compete against mega platformers who develop digital infrastructure across industry.
Japan aims to realize Society 5.0, whose infrastructures for life and industry consist of complicated cyber- physical systems linking various systems and of new technologies such as deep learning. Therefore, architecture is essential to ensure comprehensive trust, and the important thing is the entire social system including business ecosystem, legal systems and social governance is optimally designed by the architecture.
The Government of Japan established Digital Design Architecture Center (DADC) within Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan(IPA) in May, 2020 to realize such social system.
This webinar introduces the reason why architecture is necessary and DADC establishment, a vision of DADC aims to and specific initiative of DADC, and the latest global trend of role of architecture by lecture and panel discussion.
