Challenges of auto-driving service and countermeasures in the Smart Society

The Smart Society and Software Subcommittee of the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association (JEITA) has investigated issues in the software industry in a smart society since 2012. In 2018, the committee has studied formation of social acceptance in the automobile industry as well as other industries that lead in efforts to ensure safety such as railways and food. This session reports the scenarios and issues for the spread of autonomous vehicle services in Japan.
